Who we are
Imaan Circle ("the App") and imaancircle.com are operated by MyFaith LLC, a California limited liability company ("MyFaith," "we," "us"). Contact: support@imaancircle.com.
Our commitment
Imaan Circle records aspects of your religious practice. We consider this deeply personal information and hold it to a higher standard than ordinary app data: we do not sell it, we do not use it for advertising, and we never make it public.
Information we collect
- Account: name, email address, and sign-in provider (Email, Google, or Apple) when you create an account.
- Practice records: the activities you choose to track and the entries recorded — including honor-system entries recorded automatically when a prayer window you track passes — plus your edits within the editing window.
- Settings: which prayers and activities you track, notification preferences, and any custom activities you configure.
- Score information: your Imaan Score and related aggregates, computed from your practice records.
- Circles (groups): groups you create or join, invitations, and your sharing-consent choices.
- Location (only if you enable location features): certain features — such as automatically recording a custom activity when you arrive at a place you chose, or showing nearby masjids — use your device location, including in the background if you grant that permission. Location is used on-device and to record the visit itself; we do not maintain a continuous history of your movements, and we never share raw location with third parties. You can disable location access at any time in your device settings; related features simply stop working.
- Technical: device push-notification tokens (to deliver notifications) and basic diagnostic logs.
Cookies
This website sets no cookies and uses no analytics or tracking of any kind.
What we do NOT do
No advertising or ad tracking. No sale or rental of personal information (we have not sold personal information and do not intend to). No public leaderboards or public profiles. No sharing of your score with anyone — including a circle owner — without your explicit, revocable consent.
How sharing works
If you join a circle, its owner can see your score only after you explicitly consent. You may revoke consent at any time in the App; the owner then loses that visibility.
Service providers
We use Google Firebase (Google LLC) for authentication, database, and notifications; data is processed in the United States. Our website is hosted by Namecheap, Inc. These providers process data on our behalf under their own security and privacy obligations.
Retention & deletion
Your data is retained while your account is active. You may request deletion of your account and associated data at any time by emailing support@imaancircle.com; we will complete verified requests within 30 days. [Note: in-app account deletion will also be available in the App.]
Your California rights (CCPA/CPRA)
California residents may request access to, correction of, or deletion of their personal information, and may ask what categories we collect and why. We do not sell or "share" (for cross-context advertising) personal information, so no opt-out is needed. To exercise rights: support@imaancircle.com. We will not discriminate against you for exercising them.
Other regions
If you use the App from the EEA/UK, you have equivalent rights of access, rectification, erasure, and objection; our legal basis is your consent and the performance of our service to you. Given the App records information revealing religious practice, we rely on your explicit consent, which you may withdraw at any time by deleting your account.
Children
The App is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their data. If you believe a child under 13 has an account, contact us and we will delete it.
Changes
We will post updates here with a new effective date; material changes will be announced in the App.
